Clinical Counselor

Knox Public Health in rural Mount Vernon and Danville Ohio is actively recruiting a Clinical Counselor to join our team at the Knox County Community Health Center, a premier practice focused on delivering top-notch counseling services to our patients. Our priority is to foster a welcoming and comforting atmosphere for individuals seeking care. Our center, designated as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC), offers a comprehensive range of medical care, counseling services, substance abuse treatment, and oral healthcare exclusively serving Knox County residents.

The duties for this role encompass, but are not confined to, conducting thorough diagnostic mental health assessments, offering interventions, educational support, making referrals, and providing consultations for individuals, families, couples, and groups within the primary care environment.

Requirements of this position: Master’s Degree from an accredited college or university majoring in a field of study related to Social Work; with two (2) years of directly related experience and current State of Ohio Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW) or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC) preferred or License Social Worker (LSW) (working towards LISW) with three (3) years’ experience preferred. Individual needs to possess ability to work autonomously, with interpersonal relationship building skills, excellent communication skills, computer technology skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a culturally diverse group of people.

This position is Regular, full-time 40 hours per week, subject to a rotating, or flexible, shift; may work additional hours, evenings, and/or weekends as required.
