Location:Danville Health Center, Foster's Walk-In Clinic, Knox County Community Health Center (KPH Main Location), Knox County Dental, Mount Vernon Health Center, Strang Glass House
Description
Essential Functions:
  • Plan, develop, implement, and manage the Community Health Center medical services by assuring programs follow standards and written grant performance objectives
  • Directs division staff in implementation of program standards
  • Completes employee evaluations and competencies of clinical staff
  • Utilizes data collection and assessments
  • Communicates and collaborates with other divisions within the agency
  • Implements agency policy and procedures
  • Maintains knowledge of current standards of care and best clinical practices
  • Works closely with the clinical director, agency medical director and nurse practitioners
Requirements/Qualifications:
  • Currently licensed by the State of Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Bachelor’s Degree in nursing, health administration, public health or related field, preferred
  • Current knowledge of the nursing role and scope of practice as defined by the State of Ohio Nurse Practice Act and the Ohio Board of Nursing
  • Current knowledge of the American Nurses Association (ANA) Code of Ethics
  • Demonstrates critical thinking skills to deliver safe, quality patient care and excellent customer service
  • Data collection, evaluation, and review
Experience:
  • At least five (5) years of public health, nursing or health-related field experience preferred, with at least 2 years of management and/or supervisory responsibilities required
  • Electronic medical record experience
  • Grant writing, program planning and budget management is a plus.
  • Individual needs to possess ability to work autonomously, strong leadership skills, excellent communication skills and excellent computer technology skills and the ability to communicate effectively with the public.
